General Rental Terms

Reservations

  • Reservations made on BissauCar.com come with special prices and conditions, exclusive to online bookings. These conditions do not apply to reservations made by phone or directly at our offices.
  • When making a reservation, you will receive:
    1. A first email confirming the receipt of your request.
    2. A second email with either acceptance or denial of the reservation.
  • Payment is made exclusively at our offices upon vehicle pickup. There is no need to make any monetary transactions on the website.

Driver Requirements

  • Driver's License: Valid in Spain and with a minimum validity of 3 years.
  • Minimum Age:
    • 21 years: General for most vehicle groups. .
    • 21 años: Solo para el grupo A.

What Our Rates Include

  1. Taxes (IGIC) included.
  2. Unlimited mileage.
  3. Second driver at no additional cost.
  4. Child seats and boosters (subject to availability).
  5. Basic Mandatory Insurance with excess (CDW):
    • Partial collision coverage (third-party damages).
    • Theft coverage (TP).
    • Note: For groups F, I, J, H, K, and L, a deposit for the excess amount may be required.
  6. Free Additional Coverage
    • Includes wheels, rims, punctures, mirrors, rear-view mirrors, windows, windshields, front and rear lights, and turn signals.
    • Roadside assistance, towing, and replacement.

Note: The free additional coverage will be void if damages occur due to the following reasons:

  • Carrying more passengers than permitted.
  • Lending the vehicle to third parties without authorization.
  • Driving off-road (beaches, dirt roads, ravines, etc.).
  • Parking in dangerous or prohibited areas.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, fatigue, or illness.
  • Participating in races or sporting activities.
  • Pérdida, rotura o bloqueo del automóvil con las llaves dentro del vehículo.
  • Refueling with the wrong type of fuel.

Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

  • Standard Pickup Location: Our office in Playa Blanca.
  • Any different drop-off location must be confirmed in advance via WhatsApp or email.
  • Airport Drop-offs in Lanzarote:
    • €30: Off-base delivery.
    • €40: Delivery after 10:00 PM (late-night service).

Fuel Policy

  • The policy is Full to Full: The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when it was delivered.

Prohibitions

  • Smoking inside the vehicle is prohibited.
  • It is not permitted to take the vehicle outside Lanzarote without prior authorization. If authorization is granted to take the vehicle to Fuerteventura, it must be returned to Lanzarote. Failure to do so will result in the customer bearing the return costs.

Returns and Cancellations

  • In the case of early vehicle returns, unused rental days or additional services will not be refunded.
  • Insurances and coverages are considered utilized from the moment the vehicle is picked up.
  • El vehículo se devolverá en la ubicación y fecha estipulada, cualquier alteración deberá ser autorizada por Bissau Car S.L. 

Other Terms and Conditions

  • Child Seats and Boosters: Available free of charge for online bookings (subject to availability).
  • Forgotten Items: Bissau Car S.L is not responsible for items left inside the vehicle.
  • Fines: The customer is responsible for any fines or penalties received during the rental period.
  • Accidente: En caso de accidente, el arrendador, avisará inmediatamente a Bissau Car S.L. y no tomará ninguna responsabilidad o acuerdo con la otra parte accidentada sin el consentimiento de Bissau Car S.L.

Vehicle Model

  • We strive to deliver the reserved model, but the exact model is not guaranteed unless explicitly indicated as a “guaranteed model.” If unavailable, a vehicle of the same group or a higher category will be provided at the same price.

Privacy Policy

  • The personal data provided will be treated as confidential and in accordance with current legislation.
